Showcasing Free AI tools

Led by Nicola Pallitt

The Showcasing Free AI Tools sessions will take place twice: 5 July and 8 August, both at 4pm GMT, 7pm Cairo, 12pm EDT.

Description:

For these interactive sessions, we invite educators and enthusiasts to explore the world of free AI tools together.

Fellow educators will showcase their most useful, free AI tool. These short presentations will be followed by two 10-minute rounds where participants can move between breakout rooms to learn more about particular tools from the educators who shared that particular tool. At the end of the session, participants are invited to reflect on the potential usefulness of showcased tools for their teaching.

We invite volunteers to showcase their innovative use of an AI tool, collectively demonstrating a diverse range of applications free AI tools bring to the educational landscape.

Information for volunteers:

  • Do you have one free AI tool that you use regularly that you think other educators could benefit from learning more about?
  • Are you able to demonstrate your use of this tool in 5 minutes?
  • Are you willing to engage with participants about these tools and respond to questions?

If you are unable to present at either of these times, we welcome short video recordings to add to our curated materials.

If you are would like to volunteer to showcase an AI tool, please complete this short form.

After the session, we will curate the presentations and list of tools as Open Educational Resources (OERs) to be shared with broader communities, such as the AUC digital literacies toolkit and OneHE
