Mia Zamora

Co-facilitator, Co-lead, Co-organizer, Community-building and Community reflection, Open Education and Digital Literacies, Wellbeing and Joy

I am a Professor of English at Kean University in Union, NJ, and Director of both our MA in English-Writing Studies program and the KUWP (Kean University Writing Project).  As a digital humanist and a scholar of electronic literature, I am committed to equity, social justice, digital literacies & intercultural understanding. As a leading voice for the practice of open and networked education, I have co-founded several global learning networks including Equity Unbound (#unboundeq) and Networked Narratives (#netnarr). I am a writer, educator, connector, and maker. I am also a daughter, sister, mother, wife, and a good friend.

Why I’m in MYFest

Why MyFest?…because my energy and hope springs forth from the connections, care, and trust I derive from the Equity Unbound network.  And after the last two difficult years, I look forward to the renewal and inspiration that will certainly come from this collaborative time.
